Overview
This policy explains what information Customer Care Info collects, why we collect it, and how you can exercise your rights. It applies to the public website and the contact form.
We aim to collect as little personal data as possible. You can browse every provider page without creating an account.
Information you give us
If you use the contact form, we collect your name, email address, subject, message, the page you were viewing and your IP address. We use this to reply and to investigate corrections or complaints about the site.
We keep contact messages for up to 24 months unless a longer period is needed to resolve a dispute or meet a legal obligation.
Information collected automatically
Our web server may record standard technical logs, including IP address, browser type, requested URL, referrer and timestamp. These logs help us keep the site secure and diagnose errors. We retain them for a limited period.
Cookies
The site uses a small number of essential cookies for security and session management. These do not track you across other websites.
Advertising and analytics cookies are used only when enabled and, where required, only after consent. If Google AdSense is active, Google and its partners may use cookies to serve and measure ads. You can learn more in Google's advertising policies and manage ad personalisation in Google Ads Settings.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser. Blocking essential cookies may affect the contact form and admin login.
Advertising
We use Google AdSense to display ads. Google may use information about your visits to this and other sites to show ads that are more relevant to you. Where required by law, we ask for consent before using advertising cookies.
We do not sell personal data. We do not share contact form messages with advertisers.
Analytics
If analytics is enabled, we use it to understand which pages are useful and where the site is slow or broken. Analytics data is aggregated. We do not use it to identify individual visitors.
Legal bases (UK and EU)
Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, we rely on:
- Legitimate interests for security, error logging and responding to messages.
- Consent for non-essential cookies and personalised advertising.
- Legal obligation where we must retain or disclose information.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. To make a request, use the contact page and include enough information for us to identify you.
You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. In the UK this is the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
California residents
If you are a California resident, you may have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, correct and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To make a request, contact us.
Data security
We use reasonable technical measures to protect the site and its data, including access controls and prepared database queries. No website can guarantee absolute security. Do not send sensitive information such as passwords, full card numbers or government ID through the contact form.
Children
The site is intended for general audiences and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes
We may update this policy when the site or the law changes. The effective date is shown below.
