How to open Opay Account
You can open Opay Account by first downloading the Opay app from the Google Play store or the Apple App store. Once you have installed the app, open it and follow the instructions to register for an account. During the registration process, you will be asked to provide your mobile number. After you have entered your mobile number, you will receive an OTP code via SMS. Enter the code in the app to verify your mobile number. Once your mobile number is verified, you can log in to your Opay account using the OTP code.

How to get Opay pos
As an OPay Merchant, you get the best offers on commission and cashback in town. You will be able to make money on referrals, cash-in, cash-out, and other transactions! To become Opay Merchant; First, download the OPay App on your mobile phone, create an account, or sign in if you already have the app on your phone, then you will then upgrade your KYC to Level 3. To upgrade your KYC to Level 3 follow the below steps:-
- Go to “Me’”
- Click the picture icon (top left) to go to Account Details
- Click Upgrade to Level 3
- Upload your picture
- Upload a valid ID Card (Intl Passport, Voters’ Card, National ID, or Driver’s License)
- Upload a recent utility bill (PHCN bill, water bill, rent receipt, LAWMA waste bill)
- Upload your BVN
- Submit
It takes 24-72 hours for OPay Team to review and approve/decline your KYC.
You will get email and SMS notifications once your KYC is approved.
Once the profile is upgraded to KYC 3, follow the following guidelines to switch your profile to Merchant:-
- Go to “Me”
- Click the picture icon (top left) to go to Account Details
- Click Upgrade to Merchant
- Fill in your Business Information (Name of business, address, etc) and click Next
- Fill in the required information
- Click Upgrade, and wait for approval from Opay Team
Once you have switched your OPay profile to Merchant, you can now go to “Merchant Apply“, to get the application through.
